I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm in 3rd year electrical engineering, and I have two job offers for a 16 month internship. One is with RIM, a very dynamic and up-and-rising company. Another is with Nortel - a bloated telco company in decline, and madly cutting people in order to survive.
On paper, the job at Nortel seems more interesting. Would you work for them? knowing the work atmosphere might not be as innovative and fresh as RIM? or worse yet, it might be full of anxious people waiting to get the ax.
What do you think? I'd like to hear from more mature professionals who might have been through this sort of decision.
