Sure, but right now I just have to adapt to what I have.
My frame rate can, I believe, be considered quite good for my system: an upgraded Digital Audio G4 1.33ghz with 892mb RAM and a 128MB Radeon 9800.
lol i'm in the same situation and i still have a blast on the game. can't wait to get a mactel system and enjoy the silky smoothness, but for now, it's still fun and playable. i'm a shammy btw.
i play on a dual G4 500 with 1gig+ of ram and a radeon 9200. below system requirements but i still rock it

No, people posting in all caps, about a game they have no interest in, is far worse.
Please note the grammar (which is only slightly worse than your own), and you can easily tell that it was written by someone who has poor English skills. Thus, you'll realize that this is yet another Asian leveling service. These are uncommon in the US, but much more accepted in eastern countries (probably because in Korea, Japan, China, etc. it's not uncommon for players to play 4-6+ MMOs at the same time).
However, asshat, since you've never played the game, you have no experience with whether or not the game is boring. Your opinion is worthless, much like yourself.
Now, please, stay out of the WoW threads, you mental pigmy.

i recently acquired a radeon x800 xt for my dual 2ghz g5, with 1.5gigs of ram. i can run with everything maxed with ati's override feature. in most areas pvping battle grounds and such ill get a constant 20-30 fps. in raid or in orgimmar will drop down 16-25 fps. the numbers are not super fast but it looks amazing . dropping down to lower setting it will rarely drop below 30.

I play wow on my 1.5GHz 12" Powerbook, and i am horrified by the results - even in small raids like ZG i get under 10fps.
Im sure this will improve, but until then i'll continue on my PC.

You do know that you have the minimum requirement for the video card right?

I guess it's a little late to reply to this thread, but here goes anyways...
This is a very typical problem we have when we buy Macs. When we pay extra for the better system, we are mainly paying for the CPU upgrade. The rest of the system changes very little. For example, as of today (Dec. 19, 2005), you can buy a Quad G5 (2 x 2 dual core), for $3299, but you get a $120 video card to go along with it (and the same 512MB RAM standard).
I guess there are two reasons for this. First, most Macs aren't purchased to play games, second, most of us don't know the difference. The only thing we're concerned about are the processors.
The bottleneck isn't at the CPU, especially when you are running at high res. I imagine a 1GHZ G4 with a 9600 would run at about the same fps.
The plain vanilla 9600 is a slow card. The 9800Pro is around two and a half times faster (and 9800 Pros are considered low end cards nowadays)
If you plan to play alot of games, it makes sense to buy the next lower configuration and use the money you saved to buy a better video card or buy a PC for gaming, that's what I did. I have a 9800pro running 1920x1200 on a Dell 2405. Frame rates are fine even in AV. There are only a few places where the fps takes a dive, causing some choppiness.

I would say the opposite. It's up to Apple to make sure their PowerBooks are powerful enough to run current software.

I have now been playing at 1920x1200 on the 24" dell monitor for several months. My setup is a dual 2.5 G5 with stock 9600xt card. The framerates are quite acceptable on the whole (usally in the 20s). I sometimes drop the resolution down one notch for molten core boss fights.
