The most important thing to me is the openGL and nvidia drivers... Can anybody say if it feels faster now? (be it games or the interface)

I downloaded it but I had to go to work... damn work... always getting in the way!

startup & finder seem snappier, as does safari (easy to see on my pismo...)

one weird thing: the cd icon in my system prefs "cds& dvds" is gone...
any ideas anyone??

I downloaded it at 3 megs a second with bursts of nearly 5. The install and optimize, however, took a little longer.

Nothing went wrong here with the update, but 10.3.3 was fine for me now that I think about it.

My friend called me an hour ago.

"Did you install 10.3.4 yet?"
"No"
"I did and my computer hard froze in the middle of the install"

So he's coming over in about an hour so I can fix his screwed up system.

It's 1.3.8 (v618)

I'm just extremely pleased that they finally fixed that annoying action menu drawer bug - I was shocked (ouch!) every time an update came out and it wasn't fixed.

Thanks for the response. That's my version, too, but it sure isn't obvious that it has been updated as the application file is showing a creation and modification date of August 14, 2003.

When you connect to an AFP volume now and have SSH enabled (allow secure connections using SSH), you get a warning which wasn't present in 10.3.3.

This is probably a good thing, but how does one encrypt their AFP connections via SSH, or is this only usage for utilities like rsync or something?

Mine has disappeared too, but it went a couple of days ago before installing 10.3.4.

Maybe it was the help viewer patch? although I can't think why, or maybe some crappy shareware we both installed.

Blah, I've lost some display resolutions on a GeForce 2MX card (as somewhat noted on xlr8yourmac.com)...

First time I have had any type of problem with an update... Ah well

I can't believe system menus display glitch is still not fixed !!!
It's there since 10.3.0. When will they fix this ****?

(for those who don't know what I'm talking about, when the application's menu is too long, it overlaps with system menus, and then when you changes application, there are drawing bug and system menus are not drawn properly until you click on each one to update the display).

A couple of my programs started doing that in 10.3.3. Very strange. Haven't done the upgrade yet, though.

Two computers... (in sig).

Two updates.

No problems.

I wonder when they will fix the bug that does not let you search "Everywhere" in junk mail messages/folders.

Downloaded and installed from Software Update last night on a PB15 / 1GB RAM / 10..3.3. No problems at all so far (I continued to use the machine last night and have been on it for a while this morning). Airport, BT Apple Mouse, ethernet all work fine. Reads and writes to Memory Stick media on a Sony PC Card adapter ok. Nothing broken. I ran Permission Repair and the only permissions repaired had to do with flash player and the CD repair that always seems to show up.

I find that to be one of the most annoying bugs ever. Even when I save documents from, say... Spark, the Finder will eventually start stacking them up in the lower right corner.

This is a good update for me. Mail is faster, AddressBook is much faster at editing, Safari scrolls way smoother and faster, bookmarks open faster.

Best of all, rendezvous works again for me. I used the combined updater to go from dot 3 to dot 4 so maybe I had something wrong in one of the earlier updates.

Think it is now time to update my brother and mom's machines to Panther.

It seems that there is a problem with 10.3.4 and color management or new ATI drivers.... look here for details...

Has anyone else noticed that tabs in Safari seem to open much quicker now?

Menus seem to drop down more responsively, too.

Yep, Finder was updated for the first time since 10.3.0. They fixed the "preview in column mode + drag-select on desktop = crazy selection" bug. I haven't noticed any other changes in Finder yet; the other 78472934792 bugs are still there.

Maybe they are waiting for the full 10.4 finder rewrite... or it could be the debug code

Safari launch screen? I have never seen a launch or splash screen. All I ever see is the bouncing icon in the dock when launching Safari. Does anyone see something different than I do? I always see the splash screen for Microsoft I.E.
