Remember, you only use the video ID number. Not the full youtube URL. I've seen some postings with the full URL - they don't work.

YouTube is blocked for me right now so I can't help with any testing, but I know it's common that "Youtu.be" links don't embed correctly on some forums while "YouTube.com" links do. When YouTube offers a link for sharing, it defaults to giving you the "Youtu.be" link, so you have to copy what's in the address bar instead.

The post above yours states that you use neither the youtube.com NOR the youtu.be links, at all, but just the video ID. What the domain in the link is should be of no relevance.
