Two weeks ago I left on an airplane in anicipation of glorious times
in Cancun Mexico. Thats on the Yucatan ... and I so wanted to share
all the awesome pictures we took of tulum, chi chen itza , isla
mujeres etc etc but um ... well so 2 hours before I come back to
America we stopped our GMC express at the local mall and went into a
taco shop (all 12 of us) and had lunch. Promptly after 20 or so
minutes we return to the van after keeping a close eye on it from the
resturaunt window, I turn the corner other side of the van ( in which
we could not see from our seats) and discover the door unlocked ... so
I entered the car and found things astray on the seats and asked my
cousin if someone had been in the car .... and then i saw things were
missing and then I was like **** ... where the **** is my bag? I must
have said **** a million times in my head but only once out loud ...
this was my fifth trip to mexico and the first time I had been robbed
.... Thankfully im overprotective of my ipod and had it in my left
pocket along w/ my wallet, watch, and glasses ... and my guardian had
our passports ... and then there was another ****, but only this time
from my cousin ... five passorts were missing .... oh **** .... so we
get the police over and they gawk at the empty lock where the robbers
had totally broken it off. The police had the theory that the rental
place (executive) had set us up .... well later on we would find this
probably to be true. So the two adults go file a report as my cousin
and I walk around checking to see if the robbers had dropped any
passports (they had left my aunts and uncles on the seat before taking
their bag). However, we recieved no luck, in both the police
department or the parking lot. So we called up my cousin pancho (who
lives in Cancun) and had him help w/ the knuckleheads at the damn
police office or wtvr wierd name they call it. After an hour of
pleading and getting the go around at the police station we get
documentation that will allow those w/ a stolen passport to go home to
the USA. Jesus is getting robbed dramatic w/ women... too much crying.
I must say though, it's one nasty and disgusting feeling getting
robbed.

Oh so yeah here's why I couldn't let you see my beautiful pictures:
2 x 128 mb Sony Sticks
1 x 64 " " "
1 x 16 " " "
2 x Sony 3.2 megapixel cameras
1 x AMD Laptop (New)
1 x 20 gb ipod
1 x sony dv camera
1 x jvc video camera
2 x film cameras
5 x bottles of tequilla
bunch of stuff we bought while in cancun
5 x us passports
30 x CD's
3 x GBA Games
1 x ipod charger

All Stloen ... we later found out that the renatal company had this hapen twice before in the same year to the same vehicle ... GMC Express....

Ironically however I'm probably going to visit D.F. before Cancun. That is if I ever do go back.

(Excuse the grammar)

mexico is a sh*thole. If I were stuck there, I'd prey on gringos all day long. If you can't afford to lose it, don't bring it to mexico.
You heard me! Sod off, Sadr!

1 x sony headphones ....

but hey oh well, I just needed to vent .. so kids when you leave you passports in the car leave them on the top in your bags so thieves will hopefully at least leave you that.

but what was really scary was my aunt yelling at the cops in english .... isn't she lucky to be in the states now ...

and no insurance, travelers that is ... we tried to fill a report in mexico but we need the model #'s of all the crap we had stolen, but we didn't have enough time or model #'s to do that so we were sol. And immigration at LAX were dicks about my family that had their passports stolen ... the guy pop quizzed each of them and had them at the counter for twenty minutes ...

I had my address on my bag they took, maybe they can be courteous and send the film back.
