how come when i hook the ibook up to the tv. the picture is so blurry on the tv. is there a way to fix this.

Yeah mate, that's how TV's are I hate to tell ya! TV's have a very low res, but you rarely notice it when watching television because all writing on ads is made big...

Your best idea would be to lower the resolution that you're displaying it at. 640x480 will be much clearer, simply because everything is enlarged... If you were trying to run it at 1024x768 or something, there's no way you could read anything!

Definitely. Most TV's are unacceptable for viewing text at anything above 640 by 480. Even then, text is fuzzy.

I would imagine that picture quality would be MUCH better on an HDTV since they have much higher resolution screens more akin to computers. Anyone here have any numbers on that?

There are monitors about (I *think* one's made by SEGA) that are sold as multi purpose, i.e they take a TV signal from the VCR and play back standard TV but they are also capable of resolution switching and can be plugged into a monitor out. I've seen one about three month ago on the Tottenham Court Road in London and it looked great.
