I just got a new mac with a mighty mouse, and I like a lot about it... the four buttons, the fact that I can scroll both directions. One thing that I don't like though is that it gets dirty a lot faster than my old logitech mouse.

Now, I know its normal from some grease and lint and stuff to build up on mice. On the old Logitech, such dirt built up fairly slowly, and only on the bottom of the mouse (on the little skid-pads mostly).

The new mightymouse is getting dirty all over. The bottom is no worse than my old mouse, but though I NEVER in over two years felt the need to clean my old mouse on the buttons/top surface, I'm already getting a visible build-up of dirt on the top surface of my mighty mouse. It's not that I mind the color. If it were just that, I wouldn't care. But it's sticky, and unpleasant to touch.

Why is it that this mouse gets dirty so much faster, and is there anything I can do to fix it?
