And more to the point, does anyone click it...

Had the misfortune to have to do a little surfing on the peecee today (left my PB at work).

What a bag of sh*t, pop ups here, there and everywhere....do I want to install this or that taskbar for explorer, do I want to increase the size of my co*k.

I have only been a Mac user for 3 months now, and i had forgotten how sh*t the internet is from XP.

I have the pop up and ad killers running of course, but i guess 3 months of no updating this is what i can expect.

Bill Gates, I hope u r freaking happy.

Bill has 48 billion reasons to be happy.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

I dunno, I have a PC that I use fairly often in addition to my Mac and I never have to go in and clean stuff up. At least not on a regular basis. Every week or two I'll run AdAware, it will find no problems, and I move on. The only time I've really spent keeping that sh*t off my PC was the time it took to install Firefox w/ the AdBlock extension, delete Windows Messenger, and get rid of Internet Explorer (it still exists but it's buried in C\Program Files\ somewhere).

I had to get a PC with Windows 2000 for work. First thing I did was install Firefox and other open source software. I don't trust commercial windows programs with their spyware amd phoning home.

"As a matter of fact, his wife does."

Is that documented, really? (It'd make sense since they can have whatever they want)

That still sounds like a lot, compared to the NOTHING that we have to do with our Macs.

Well, it's one extra step. Instead of installing Firefox and Adblock and running with it (Mac), I install Firefox and Adblock, and also AdAware, and then I'm good. One extra step. Not really complicated. But it's still stupid that you have to do anything just to prevent your computer from slowing to a crawl because various internet assholes want to mine personal data and sell it to other internet assholes.

I installed virtual PC with XP on my powerbook (for no good reason) and within half an hour I had 17 spyware apps downloaded onto it.

Windows XP, the best solitaire program you can buy.

Thirded. Almost. I do use Explorer but only for checking out sites locally that I make. Apart from that it's Firefox on the web from my PC.
