nice to see you rocking the Ultra Magnus and Prime. Where'd you get that desk? I think I want it...

The photo's terrible quality but here's my setup.. who wants to touch me?

That's a 17" LG monitor on the left (currently hooked up to the PowerBook as I haven't got the cable to connect to iMac yet), 20" G5 iMac in the middle, 12" Al PowerBook on the right. 250gig and 160gig LaCie firewire hard disks hidden behind the iMac and you can see one of my Harmon Kardon soundsticks.

Basically that desk represents my entire student loan for the last four years

Finally got around to setting my 20" iMac up and getting some pics taken. Long day of setting up iPhoto and iTunes and grabbing some nice programs.

The table is temporary for now until a larger desk can be had

That looks nice, but to me it makes the impression of a doctor's practice, since everything looks so sterile. You need more clutter

I got the monitor and multi-link adapter from SGI when they were doing a refurb sale....needless to say I got a great deal on it! I would love to get a bigger monitor since the prices are coming down, but I just can't part w/ this display.

Well I got a refund on my crappy iMac G5 and bought this beauty instead for half the price. I'm in love with this Mac! The observant may spot some 80s computing classics in the picture! Sorry my PowerBook looks so unloved on top of the printer, I do still use it occasionally, honest!

I my opinion, the 17" iMac G4 is the very best looking computer Apple has designed to date. Congratulations!

Here is a link to some pics of my Mac mini. I got the 1.42GHz unit the day it was released, travelling through a snowstorm to the Apple Store at Tyson's Corner to pick it up. My wife was a good sport.

http://homepage.mac.com/blakespot/PhotoAlbum25.html

And here is a single pic, from that collection, of the unit as it sits in my office, KVMed to the right screen there. ...no one in the office even knows I have a Mac in there. :-)

...and since I saw someone posted their SGI 1600SW flatscreen tied to a non-Mac, I thought I would do the same. I might get more props though - the other 1600SW was tied to a Shuttle while this one is running tied to an SGI O2. :-)

Many pics of it here: http://www.blakespot.com/sgi

...but a nice one in particular here:

Woops I thought this thread said "pictures of your Mac mini." It's an iMac thread tho. If there exists a Mac mini picture thread, please move this message, kind moderator! If not - well, I hope you iMac folks aren't too upset. :-)

Hey Blakespot

Just curious - does the 1600SW work fine with the Mac Mini? One of the main reasons why I'm holding back from getting a Mac Mini is that I've read reports saying they aren't compatible.

Nice setup!

my brother and i made this desk. 8 feet long, 20 inches wide, and 22 inches high. it is attached to the wall with L brackets, and connects to my tv stand/desk to make a big L desk in my bedroom.

i have one of those round chairs that you can sit on in the apple store (in the kiddie section).

we made circular cutouts at the back of the desk for cables. looks really clean and neat.

Thanks.

I don't know if the SGI 1600SW works with the mini or not. It would need a DVI -> SGI or VGA -> SGI converter box, though. SGI backed a horse that did not become the digital standard with that screen. I use mine with an SGI O2 which works fine with the installed video board in the O2 that is meant to specifcally control that screen.

Thanks for the reply! I have the 1600SW with the SGI Multilink device, which basically allows for DVI or VGA connections. I've heard that this does not work with the Mac Mini, so I guess I'll wait for the next revision. Have fun with your beauties!

Very nice!

I had an Epson printer leak a whole black ink cart. on my desk, so I went out and bought a cheap industrial looking thing at Office Depot.

I also moved the eMac from the guest room into a bare spot in the dining room. I'm not too happy about that, but We don't have enough room in our family room.
