My picks for most useless perks: One Man Army, Scrambler, SitRep

Most useless Killstreaks: Counter UAV, Tactical Nuke

Ok, so Destructoid is reporting Party Chat might be blocked in MW2.

(BTW, I'll be flooding the thread with rumors and suppositions at will)

One of the things that really got on my nerves from CoD4 was that after getting 5 kills, you'd line up where you wanted to bomb and somebody shoots you, losing the possibility to get the 7 killstreak and the chopper. Hope that they've figured something out to avoid this. Plus having options for each killstreak will make choosing even longer - wonder if you can setup defaults.

Yeah some of those perks don't sound very good. Maybe they'll be useful for certain game types.

Well they fixed things so you can stack the killstreak rewards.

My only concern is that I hope you can recover killstreaks from care packages, rather than have to use right where the damn thing lands.

Exactly.I realize clans will 'cheat' but I'd rather find a different game and communicate with my friends than deal with the open mouth breathers and pre-pubescents.

If they're going to do this, they at least need to make a better interface for muting people.

Okay, the rumor seems to be sorting itself out. It appears it's going to be disabled in certain playlists, but which ones is still being debated. The good news is TDM will not be one of those playlists.

So when the game comes out next week, what are you all going to do first? You gonna jump right into multiplayer vs., co-op or go through single player? I'm thinking I'll jump into single player. I'm not sure, however if I should start on veteran. That may ruin the game for me since COD games are really difficult on veteran.

Good thing is, I have next Tues and Wed off so I'll be on.

I'll probably only play through the single player as an afterthought, I'm diving right into multi.

It'll depend if anyone is on (ha), but I'll be using single player as a crutch to get my legs under me.

Multi all the way for me. I think that I've done about 5 mins of solo on CoD:WaW, and I only played CoD4 solo due to having no internet.

I'd be interested to see how highly ranked after 24 hours (after release) people are.

Wonder if MW2 allows taking screenshots or filming a la Halo.

Yeah good idea.

I'll put a bet down now that over the next 6 months, I spend more time in MW2 than anyone else here. Sad? Yup, thats me, the CoD whore.

I know that you play alot, and I do give you credit, but like Halo is your 'thang', Call of Duty is mine.

Think that I have 20 days in CoD4 now, thats how addicted I am.

Ah, sorry, I wasn't following it. Does that mean that you're a CoD convert? I've tried a few online FPS games and nothing has come close to CoD, either on PC or on the Xbox.

I played CoD:WaW last night and think that I'll stick to it until MW2 comes out.

Of course the gushing about how orgasmic Borderlands is, is making me very jealous. I shall be passing a gaming outlet tomorrow as well damn you.

My brother is using that XBL acct now to play Madden. My new XBL acct is kavV1ka

I'll be using the new one from now on for WaW & MW2. I guess I should add people.

I haven't.

Between 2 sick kids; one sick wife; work; on-call for the next three weeks; trying to get to the next level of Prestige in CoD4; trying to get the blasted Gold Medals in Defence Grid; following Borderlands, MW2 and various Lounge posts; suffering through Transformers 2; cooking for the in-laws; servicing the car and putting up with insults from French rugby supporters, my time is pretty charged.

Plus its raining.

I'll add boy8cookie/kavV1ka to my (very small) friends list tonight.

By all indicators, we anticipate Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be the biggest entertainment launch of all time.
IW will be creaming their pants in anticipation. Via Kotaku.

Once I realized that CoD4 and WaW were at the top of the xbox live charts for as long as they were I knew MW2 was going to destroy all previous sales records set by video games.

Yeah.. those quote are from this summer. The fact that they're from Dakar V kinda gives it away.

Also, you responded to at least one of them back when I originally posted them after having played only a few hours of multi.

Sorry, I'm genuinely not following you. I really am putting up with all that at the moment. OK, its spread over October and this week, but it hasn't been fun. And I meant that I haven't followed the Halo thread.

Well I pre-ordered it today at GameStop. I actually have to work next Tues now. Bummer. I'll just get it after work.

BTW, I also pre-ordered L4D2 since you get a $5 credit when you pre-order it.

Jesus, my wife is gonna get mad at me when I seclude myself to play these games.

That's a terrible deal. It's a two year old game! That deal should be permanent, if not even better.

Yeah, but how many suckers are gonna purchase it? They're trying to milk whatever they can before next week's release date.

I bought it the date it came out. So yeah, it sucks when you see something half off what you paid for. It's also a good thing, if they make map pack discounts permanent after it's been out for awhile.

It's also the second time they ran this 'deal.'

Also, notice they never run a deal on Halo maps.
