Hi all. I am a new powerbook user who is anxiously waiting for the powerbook this friday. It is a 12" Al. Powerbook with standard config.
I have been a PC user for the past 8 years and have also dabled in Linux/Unix. Mac fascinated me so much that I decided to buy that the first tmie i saw it...
I have a spare Hard disk, however, my question is that whether I can link the spare hard disk to my pb? and if yes, how do I do that?
Do i need some specific case to have it as a firewire device?
Please help guys...I know that the Mac community is very supportive and loyal...I am glad i'll be a part of it....

You just need a 3.5" firewire case. There's a bunch to choose from:

You may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere, just check pricegrabber, etc.

You can find a lot of info about disks, drives and other stuff at this site:

http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/

You may have to browse a little to see if it has any info you need.

Hello, newbie!

First thing to learn: title your threads descriptively. That is, the title of the thread should be the title of your question, not "Help!"

You'll get better responses if your titles are good, cuz a lot of people don't click on threads that don't mention something they're interested in.
