I bought the Mac version the second it came out after playing the demo to death on Steam. (BootCamp actually resulted in a Mac game sale, how 'bout that?)

My advice is to turn off the lights, turn up the speakers and play through the tutorial first, then against the AI before trying your hand against online players.

It's highly addictive and worth every penny.

I just heard about it for the first time last night, and after having watched the trailer, I need to buy this game. It looks damn good.

I just downloaded it last night and played until about 4 AM. Yup, it's that good. It's a great example of a fairly simple game that offers a huge number of strategic possibilities. The trick is coordinating your fleets, and identifiying the right time to "go all in" with your silo nukes versus staying defensive.

I go to Defcon every year. It's a religious experience.

Been playing the demo for a week. This is one heck of a game to beat. Won once playing about 10 times. The AI is good in this game.

A friend and I downloaded the demo and played against each other. It's a great game. Beautiful GUI.

I'm going to try the demo. I'm waiting for EndWar for the Xbox 360. This might hold me over. Sounds like it's a good time waster.

Simple can sometimes be good (thinking of Catan on the 360).

Isn't the only way to win not to play?

Wouldn't you rather play a nice game of chess?

But, seriously... I just downloaded the demo the other day, but I haven't really figured it all out yet. It looks interesting, though. Only thing is that my cursor lags... maybe I should put the resolution down a bit?

I get some lag on my 12in 1.33 G4 Powerbook. It could also be because of internet lag. Seems when the connection lags, so does the entire game.

I've had the opportunity to play the demo over the past few days, and this is easily one of the most fun games I've played in a while. With a bit of tweaking, I've got it to run perfectly on an old G4/400, too. It looks better on the MacBook, though.
