Richard Roundtree has passed. He was 81.

I’m the first one to chime in on this? Hard to believe.

One of my favorite Roundtree roles was Mr. Kwame in “George of the Jungle”. Lots of humor came from how totally straight he played that role.

Anyway, he was really talented, despite being stuck for years in “Blaxsploitation Leading Man” casting (“Shaft” was only his second film). His passing is a loss to us all.

A very talented and well-rounded actor who has left a great body of work. RIP
