I am all for recycling but this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen! So, I pay $10.00 to get $5.00 off an Epson product?! That makes no sense at all. If I don't participate, I can get $10.00 off the Epson product just by keeping my money! Who makes this stuff up?

Do you have a link? I'm interested in seeing this.
But as you've outlined it, it's absolutely no incentive to recycle...

Wow. I'm trying to make some sort of sense out of this and I really can't. Give me a $10 coupon and I'm all over it. Why am I paying you $5 to recycle something, when you'll be making money selling the recycled components to a manufacturer?
Idiocy.

I remembered that HP posted a similar program few weeks ago.. but users have to use the money to buy new hardware on their website.
That Epson program is lame.. why not sell the old hardware on eBay.

or perhaps, donate it to schools if it is still working, and get a tax credit.
