In light of recent events, do you think a special, temporary, forum should be set up for issues related to the war in Iraq?

It would be a good idea to have one forum just for Politics/War, that way those not interested could easily avoid the area. We need to be able to discuss our view points!

A dedicated politics forum would be nice, but one must consider the ramifications of creating such a forum and its effect on the lounge as we know it.
Would there be less traffic to the lounge?
Would it get rid of all the silly threads posted by ca$h?
The politics forum would just become Lounge #2 with as much moderating requirements as the current lounge. Meh, I dunno  .

Give Cash his own forum (make it invisible). Every name he registers, make it a mod for his forum alone and so that he can eneter only that forum. That way, things will all work out.

i think you should call it the Headlines section or lounge or something to that effect and this lounge will remain for everything else and remain an asylum for us who dont want to have to be bothered by bickering and Bush bashing.

Apparently, my profile was locked a few weeks ago for some reason ... when I inquired about it, Demonhood said he did it on purpose and gave me no reason. If you were being 'punished', for something which you weren't sure of, I'm sure you'd be annoyed. So considering that, I don't care if they ban me again, I'll just make more usernames. And also considering what a complete MESS the lounge has become, it needed a new forum. I'm just the martyr to do so, since htey can ban me all they want. They then made my normal imaxxedout name unable to view the lounge.... so no, they didn't ban me, they just removed my voice.

See, mods, he obviously is unable to realize the stupid **** he does, and doesn't care. So give him his Cash forum, make it invisible, and make every name he registers only able to view that forum! Make him a mod of his own forum, too. We can start a pool in the lounge on how many names he'll register. It'd be more fun than banning.

Demonhood just told me. It appears my sig is too big, and that I had a 'disparaging remark' about another member of this forum in my sig line. Hrm. Funny, that same MEMBER was making remarks towards me, and I've reported him, and the mods have done.... nothing.

Well, ca$h, this has been up most of the day. Only 24 responses in the poll, and no runaway winner (66% yes; 33% no). I guess you are in the minority in terms of how strongly you feel about this.
We'll see how it fairs over night as the other hemisphere weighs in.
