I got the basic model 1.6 with 256 RAM SD. And it runs wonderfull, Im a Industrial Design student and use Drafting, photoshop 3D programs, it runs great!! Not sure why everyone keeps complaining about the 1.6.

The 1.6 is treating me great! I think its a great machine for the money. Im not sure what kind of work you do, but, Im studying Industrial Design, and use a lot of 3D software etc.... last night I was doing homework, I was useing photoshop, illustrator, open web page, watching the matrix on DVD, and had no problems of any kind.

No not yet still 256, all up grade when my student loan comes in. No problems yet.

wow thats not half bad then

i thought running all those things would def give a noticeable slowdown

No, none that I can tell but im also comming from a 700 Mhz emac, so it seems really fast.
