Kia ora.
I'm new to Mac, only got my brand spanking new iMac Combo two days ago. I use MSN a lot, all my friends use MSN and nothing else. My problem is that if i'm logged in to MSN and i start to download anything MSN tells me that I have lost my internet connection and logs me out. This seems strange, as on my 4 year old Toshiba laptop with its mighty 33k modem, it's stays connected no matter how much I'm downloading mabe it's a little slower or a lot but it's still connected to the MSN network getting my msg's.
NB: I do not lose my connection to the internet, it's still downloading, I lose connection to the MSN network.

Is this a problem with MSN:MAC?
Are there anyother MSN MSG programs for Mac OS X?

Are my internet setting a bit off?

Thanks!
2002 iMac G4 Combo

I've noticed this with all MSN clients. Microsoft's, Fire, and Proteus. I think it's just a problem with the MSN servers, not the client. But I'm not for sure.

MSN messenger does this kind of weirdness a lot more then the altgernative clients. I should say: give Proteus or Fire a try. Some love Fire, some love Proteus, some hate Fire, some hate Proteus, it's what you like the most.
