Hi all,

I'm just wondering if anyone out there has Maya's personal learning edition running on a MacBook Pro - I've installed it on my XP partition and all it does successfully is crash. The MacBook is a 1.83 ghz model with a 120 GB Hard drive and 1.5 gig of RAM. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is a tester prior to hopefully installing Maya 8 complete for my degree course.

I am starting to learn Maya. Have you gotten it up and running? I know this is a very old post. But, let's see if I get a response.

Well I discovered that Maya PLE wouldn't run or even install. Being a Mature Student I've bought a student license for Maya 8 which I ran on windows - when 8.5 came up I got the 8.0 license swapped to my G5 which was kindly done by Autodesk. I'm not sure but I am sure that I've read somewhere 8.5 PLE will be coming out for mac and that it will be universal binary but don't take it as read - bit busy with uni work at the mo so this info is coming off the top of my head.
