I have a question regarding RAM. I work on an (Early 2005) PowerMac G5 at work and we bought some additional RAM for it. What we bought was (2) 4200 DDR2 1GB sticks for the matched pair. Will the 4200 work in the (Early 2005) G5? The specs on the Apple site say 3200. Processor is Dual 2.0 Ghz.

- iPhone 3G 16G Black
- 30Gig Video iPod
- MacBook Pro or iMac (soon hopefully)

I believe what you need is regular old DDR, not DDR2. This should work.

Right, ARK needs DDR not DDR2, although higher speeds are OK. I'd go with Crucial over PQi.

Yep, like they said, DDR PC-3200, not DDR2 PC2-4200.
If you're interested... I'm selling some... as much as you need... and I can make you a deal cheaper than newegg...

I have just changed to a Mac Pro 8 core. So I have 8.5 gig of impeccable RAM DDR SDRAM PC3200 for a PoWermac G5 Dual 2 ghz for sale (June 2005), if anybody in interested. All got from Crucial. Hardly used. 4 gig of it only bought and installed last September, yet hardly used. Original bills of sale can be supplied.
