I was browsing ForeverGeek, when I came across this article. Seems like they will be released overseas but may end up on the US Market.
I myself like the Gun Metal matte finish. I don't have a PS3, and don't really want one. If I was going to spend that much money on a console, I would just invest it into another Mac  . My 360 is doing holding me over until GTA4 comes out anyways.

It makes sense but I was really hoping it would be White or even Silver.

My only other thought is buy an 80gig PS3 now and enjoy it now, or wait 2 months for the this puppy. I'm not leaning to waiting, if only so I buy it from a major retailer so I have a little more support options incase the unforeseeable happens. I've only found the 80gig PS3 on the net from a number of small vendors.

Really? 360, DS, Wii, MacBook, Mini.
White looks clean and elegant when done properly.

Yeah, it's sad they get so many more options than we do. But, sometimes we get lucky and eventually those colors find their way to the rest of the world.

Sure does.. back in 2000 when apple started to make it fashionable:
The whitebook MacBook is long in the tooth and the Mini is more silver than white.
Apples knows White is out that is why the new iMac's are silver, I bet the next MacBook's won't be white either.
As for the Wii and DS Nintendo is always copying Apple anyway so once Apple changes they will also.
Not that the DS and Wii look bad but white can easily look like a kitchen appliance and wimpy and I don't think they want to relate the PS3 to that.
