My cousin has an original mini - running OS 10.4.11, and has been using the LaCie 500Gb external drive. Says today the system doesn't see it for some reason. Checked - unplugged and plugged back in - all the cables, etc. but no go. Any suggestions? I told him to update but he has to do everything via CD as he has dial-up - high speed is not available where he lives in the mountains. System said 35 hours to do an update. so he won't try it that way!
