Umm...There is a PC version of Toast.

I'd recommend Nero.

Just my 2 cents.

I second Nero.

By the way, VersionTracker knows nothing about Toast for Windows. Are you sure you're not thinking of Easy CD Creator?

unless it's an older version of toast, there is not a toast for pc. roxio however does have other burning apps. I've used nero but I prefer Toast. anyone have any opinions of roxio's easy media creator?.....edit....posted after lol

Not really. Roxio does make a CD-burning app for Windows, but it's not as full-featured and it doesn't go by that name. I think they call it "Easy CD Creator" or something like that. It has a pretty bad reputation. Toast is among the best CD-burning apps on any platform, but its Windows cousin isn't nearly as good.

As others have said, you're probably better off going with Nero.

Easy CD Creator is fine. I've only used the older versions but I'm guessing it's roughly along the same lines. Typically you'll be prompted with an initial splash screen asking you to pick which type of CD you'd like to make (ie...date, music, etc...). Should do the trick just fine.

Easy Media Creator is (AFAIK) a specialized version of Easy CD Creator for doing video projects.

It seems to be pretty much unanimous for Nero.

Roxio's Easy CD Creator is for sorority girls, and I'm sure "Media Creator" is too. Do yourself a favor and get a copy of Nero for your Windows box. Nero's very full-featured. It's not as easy to use as Toast, but it's definitely what the cool crowd uses on the PC.

We have it (Nero) at work. As a default install it 'leads' you to a dumb 'easy CD creator' type wizard thing, It doesn't even put a link to the regular app in the Start menu. If you go digging round in it's application folder you should come across the 'real' Nero app.
It's similar to a lot of windows app's, in that it has loads of complicated options, making it seam more 'powerful' than it's Mac equivalent (I am yet to find a Win FTP app with the simplicity of Transmit).

For burning files and music I'd say Nero

For backing up ISOs or making ISO images, then Alcohol for sure. For ISO you can also use blindwrite which is also good but I like alcohol better.
