So far there are three different "question" threads started by the same person. Just curious if he wanted to start another one. How about: Are these threads annoying? Why?

Sorry, I'm punchy this morning. Moving in 3 days and still a lot to pack...

Yah I am amused by his threads.

It's almost like he works for the census department.

<cough>no threads about other members</cough>

Don't encourage him. He doesn't need it.

Are you he? Someone check post times to see if any of them do not post at the exact same time.

They are most certainly annoying and should be labeled as SPAM. SPAM BAD.

Edit: Crap. Plus 1, and in before lock.

Poor, poor ankle_brains.

I can't tell whether the guy earnestly thinks that this is a standard getting-to-know-you forum, or if this is just trolling. I'm tempted to say the latter, because you'd think that after several hundred GTKY threads he'd have gotten the hint.

The fact is, this just plain isn't a GTKY forum. I don't know why, but that's how it grew, and GTKY threads are treated as an annoyance.
You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

again, that speaks volumes (about a lot of the people here)

gorickey: you must sure go through a lot of period keys on that powerbook... given how you misuse it all the time... do you trail off when you talk too... or do people fall asleep while you're talking to them... so you never get to finish what you're saying... or maybe you're counting out loud while you type... (39874 baseball cards, 39875 baseball cards, 39876 baseball cards) and you don't want to lose your place...

i just think of them as plus one threads with substance, no matter how pedestrian that substance may be.

at least one of his threads turned into a good conversation. and none of his threads turn into flame wars, so for that i am thankful.

let the a_b be!

Here's a tip. To make an ellipsis, instead of hitting three periods, type:

Option + Semicolon =

Yeah, but by not wearing out the period key on your PB, you'll have one less excuse with which to justify your next PB.
