Lounge, the hardware forums, sometimes Games and GUI. A few of the others once in a while.
|
It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I only hang out in the lounge, I only go into other parts if I break something Apple and need help.

The only areas I regularly visit currently are the same I always have; Power Mac, Mac Mod, Marketplace, Team MacNN and The Lounge. The only real addition for me since joining is the super secret spy nest that is The Mod Lounge.

I visit the Lounge the most, I post a bit in OSX and MacBook forums, and I lurk at the GUI forum to pick up the latest themes.

Lounge regularly. PowerMac and PowerBook forums somewhat regularly. Almost never in the iMac forum these days, sometimes in the MacBook forum. Sometimes in OS X and Apps... other than that it's just the lounge.

I visit sections that apply to me in some way, so I have something to contribute. Lounge, Developer, Mac OS X, Applications, Gaming, PowerBook and UNIX, mainly.

Honestly I think MacNN, and lots of forums that have one topic but several sub topics, would do better to have one index page, where you'd actually select the type of topics you'd like to have listed in the one view.
For example, have an icon for OS X, for Apps, for iMacs, Mac minis, other hardware, one that represents GUI stuff, and so on and so forth. And just have a legend going down the side where you'd uncheck the topics you weren't interested in. And of course there'd be one Off topic, one. And then the index would just show all the newest posts in each section you're interested in.

I visit all of them.
Apart from Alternative Operating Systems (not interested), Games (don't play), Delicious Monster (don't use DL), Team MacNN (not involved) and Marketplace (not my thing).
I never look at the main page, either.
