The Apple Store just came back up and they're now selling the iPod shuffle in colors. The price remains unchanged at $79. The colors look similar to the colors offered for the nano. However, instead of black there's something that looks like orange. And judging from the images, they now come with the new headphones too.

It seems they also changed the slogan. It used to be 'Put some music on' and now it's 'Put some color on'.

Is it burnt orange I presume or a brighter orange in person?

I guess iTunes will need an update to get that image orange damnit!

it's brighter in person. as you know, the flash on the iMacs isn't the greatest. the same thing happened when I got my red nano, it came up as silver, but a firmware update came a couple weeks later and it came up red after. so im sure that theyll do the same thing.

7 iPods at once? Trippy.

I'm totally grabbing a pink one for my gf, though... might get a blue one for myself. (Anyone know if they make portable USB to audio cable for these things?)

If I had $80 lying around, I'd be going out to get an orange or blue one.

Getting the orange one for Valentine's Day. Someone must love me.

<edit>
Plus, after the posts in the Lounge about total music in iTunes and top ten albums, I realized the only stuff I really listen to regularly would all fit on a shuffle - and that's with 256kbps MP3s. It'd be nice to have something I can take with me no matter what size purse I'm carrying...

It'll match my Tangerine iBook nicely. I do wish it could sync via firewire though, so I could actually *use* it with my iBook...USB 1.1 sucks for transferring 5MB+ files.
</edit>
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

Boy, I'm really surprised that NOBODY has even mentioned the lack of a black version. The ONLY 2 colors I'd even consider would be silver or black, leaning mostly to black.
