A refurb iPad (1) is 529 € for a Wi-Fi only 64Gig. A new Wi-fi only iPad2 with 32Gig is 591 €.

I'm serously tempted to go for the iPad(1) with 64G.

Would you, or is the iPad2 THAT much better.

For that difference, I'd get the iPad 2. Smaller and lighter would eb more important to me.

I agree with turtle, the iPad 2 seems like the better choice in this case.

I always try to go for the newest technology out there. You also have to consider that the iPad you are looking at is refurbished. The refurbished devices do go through rigorous testing, but they were returned for a reason (most likely because they were defected).

iPad2, for sure. We've got both models at the office, and the iPad2 just feels better. I've got the 3G model and the "always connected" ability is insanely useful to me. Well worth the extra data plan.

I concur. That's far too small of a discount not to get the latest and greatest.

Keep in mind that the OP isn't comparing Apples to Apples so to speak.

The refurb is 64GB while the iPad 2 is only 32GB. There's the difference in the price on top of the reduced capacity. I'd probably still go with the iPad 2 in this case but then I have never truly taxed my 32GB original iPad.
