Does anyone know of a forum dedicated to the development of iPhone software using Apples SDK? Most of the forums I have googled are for the "hacked" SDK...

None exist really yet because the SDK is under NDA and so technically you aren't allowed to discuss it.

Are there Apple-run forums that allow iPhone SDK discussion?

No, not yet, which is a pity. They need a Dev only forum where you can violate the NDA. I mean, who cares if Devs talk about stuff?

Can someone bring this to Apple's attention?
I suppose they do not want developers to talk about any obvious failings that will surely be corrected in upcoming SDK releases...

They have the attention. They know very very well. That is not the issue. They simply did not properly prepare for it. They are working on it.

You can try monologuing at bugreporter.apple.com. Occasionally it turns into a dialog.
