trying to trick iTunes to do what I want.
I have all these singles, and I put the same album ("Singles") and all other info (except artist) to be the same (date composed, type, artwork, etc.), but when I move them to my iPad or phone, I still get a bajillion different covers for coverflow. it makes it impossible to shuffle just my "Singles" album. anyway to make iTunes group them altogether? I was thinking of making all the artists the same (Various Artists), and then just having my song title be the distinguishing factor, but wanted to ask before I made this move.
i guess I can just make a Singles playlist, but I still don't like the fact that every track has its own artwork in coverflow.
ideas?

I've done this several times. Some of my compilations are "various artists," and others are all the same artist but made up of singles from different albums. It's pretty easy to set up, but if you have tons of singles it can be tedious.
