My iPad Air is frozen at iOS 12.5.2 due to its age. No problem, really. But, now Google has decided that the version of Mail.app no longer meets their security standards, and has started to block my ability to send mail from the Gmail address I use exclusively on the iPad. So, I guess I need to use something else.
Is there anything other that the official Gmail app that you would recommend on this iPad? For reasons, I really would rather avoid using Google apps as much as possible, but I haven't a clue which apps available to me will meet Google's security requirements. I wish there was a mobile Thunderbird for iOS.
Thanks.

Well, yeah, there’s that, too.
Nevertheless, it looks like I’m going to have to find a new mail client.

I used thunderbird. Its an email client that allows you to receive and send mail from and to your current email.
