Every day, alongside our regular Daily Deals post, we are showcasing some of the offers available on our own MacNN Deals store. Today's highlights fit into two broad areas of technological growth, covering the field of virtual reality with a headset and a way to create VR content, while drones are represented by two examples of the compact flying machines you can acquire at a discount.

First, the Homido Virtual Reality Headset is able to use your smartphone as a display for VR content. The plastic front, equipped with an adjustable headband, holds a smartphone behind lenses, and when used with an appropriate application, can be used to view 360-degree videos and 3D movies. Usually sold for $100, it's available for $70 with free shipping for seven days.

If you want to create your own VR content, the Unity3D Game Developer Course Bundle may be useful to get. Consisting of seven courses with over 40 hours of content, the course will teach you how to build games using Unity, including 3D content as well as mobile titles, which could be your first step in creating your own game ideas. Valued at $573, this bundle is down to $49, but only until tonight.

On the drone side, the Panther Air HD Camera Drone is a quadcopter with gyro styabilization, 4.5-channel radio control, and the ability to perform advanced maneuvers such as flips. Foam surrounds the propellers for protection, with the body also including a 720p video camera that can save footage to microSD for later viewing. Originally priced at $250, you can grab this drone for $110 with free delivery, for the next seven days.

Lastly, if you want to dabble with drones but without the massive outlay, consider the SKEYE Nano Drone: Matte-Black Limited Edition. This tiny drone measures 1.57 inches across and weighs 0.42 ounces, but still offers six-axis flight controls, a flight time of up to eight minutes, a range of up to 164 feet from the controls, and a set of four replacement rotor blades. Usually selling for $69, this drone can be bought for $40 with free shipping for the next week.
