Why is this happening to me? I'm creating a theme and inactive parts are turning yellow!

http://www.twistermc.com/twist/upload/files/why.jpg

It's a disabled drop down menu that is turning yellow! I even see it happening on radio buttons when windows are in the background. What did i do? How do i fix it?

That looks like a bad transparencymask ...

"There's an easy way to make a transparency map in photoshop (especially) just make the image with transparency in psp then deactivate any background layers you may have, select all and push (command+shift+c) paste this copy and apply a white color overlay blendeffect on the new layer.

Then just (command shift c) both the white version and the colorversion of your image on a black background and you have your image and transparency map."

Should look somewhat like this:

Or if your element is just one layer you can simply apply a white color overlay to that...as long as you're not using any other blendings like bevel or inner shadow.

Thanks. i'll look into it but i didn't see anything wrong before. And i don't understand why it works in full color but not in deactivated mode.

while i'm asking questions. can someone give me the 411 on changing metal window colors? I tried and it ended up black. I've done it before but for some reason, it doesn't like me now.

Ah, well...maybe not the transparency map then

As for the metal windows don't you just have to change the gradient and pattern to the same color? Don't se why it'd end up black...

You'll probably find that the old ShapeShifter is logging a message to the Console saying that the theme is too new. You'll need to get ShapeShifter 1.1.
