For the last few weeks, Drudge has been putting up all of these links highlighting the disparities in the reporting of the Osama raid details. The theme seems to be "OMG there is conflicting information regarding a military operation--this must mean something fishy is going on!" Anyone who has ever dealt with military operations knows that the fog of war disorients everyone involved in a mission--from the generals right down to the enlisted men, no one ever has a perfect picture of what is happening (or has happened).

All this is going to do is fuel the crazy conspiracy theories about Osama not being killed / never having existed.

The helmet cam is much less likely to get declassified than the Bin Laden corpse pics.

They shared a lot of unnecessary details, many of which they had to backtrack on. What's the motivation to do that?

It's like Obama and cronies were so giddy they couldn't resist chatting about it.
