Well, i got a lot of feedback about 2 months after I released blackcherry. People said its an awesome theme, but just needs some work. Or at least thats what I said.
So, i'm going to keep the same idea (dark gray with glossy red), and im recreating it.

The Mockup

Tell me what you think

[im going to be making this theme while i make pure btw]

I like the Window widgets.
What about some variants? A good blue or dark gray would be bitchin.

I'd probably revise the titlebar. It looks too much like a pipe.

Those widgets are beautiful. So beautiful. But the titlebar, selection, and menus aren't as good as those. Maybe a lil experimentation with those might yield some great results.

well since u all love the titlebar widgets, i started the theme and released a thingy where only the titlebars are themed so you can play with the widgets in SS preview.

Penguinn, this mockup I do have to hand to ya. I gasped when I saw it - all the styling is consistent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!1! Bravo! Now all you need to do is give the actual loads of polish and I will gladly use this theme. I actually have liked most of your work, but I haven't used any of your themes since there are many resource inconsistencies, but it would seem that BlackCherry 3 doesn't have any of these, at least in your mockup. You have me anxiously awaiting completion now .

this theme always did attract some new people

Red sometimes creates optical illusions, so dont say that something is out of place by 1 pixel in this screenshot. If you want to see the titlebars illusion-free, download the guiKit i posted a few posts ago.

I think if you made the inset emboss on the window widgets match the depth of the emboss on the Push Buttons, they'd look perfect. Looking great so far!

the little cherry in the upper right looks out of place maybe don't make it like the other widgets and just have it as a cherry but when it is inlayed like that the cherry stem looks weird

Lookin good man. Might want to get rid of the embossing on the cherry in the upper left and instead go for a bigger one without embossment

Like i said a regular apple might be better, or you could have blue for the cherrries or graphite for a regular apple

Maybe youve just been looking at too many testicles lately

Naw, just kidding. Ya, I can see that, although that wasnt my first impression of them. Now that you say it though I cant see the cherries anymore! Thanks...

If you had any testacles you would know that those cherries look nothing like testacles of any kind unless you are so misfotunate to have them deformed as such. GJ penguin, keep it up I really want to see this theme completed and not left to rot because some little teenage baby has to compare his deformed miniture testacles to your artwork.

Pace, boy8cookie. Androo does good work and I think the Black Cherry mockup is his most promising yet. And I'll download it when it comes out no matter what graphic he uses on the Apple menu because it's his right as the artist to make those decisions. Oh, and I'm 37, so I'm not sure *what* it says about me that I saw it way. I think no matter how old a man is, there's still a 14 yr. old boy inside him. That's probably a good thing!

Holigen, all I can say is "Sorry, man! I didn't mean to get that stuck in your head!" Don't you hate it when that happens?

How about a single black cherry logo? Kinda like the Apple logo idea, solid black and simple.
