I hope this is the right place to ask this question, and please forgive me if it's not...

I am trying to find a top-notch highly reputable New York City based design team (app developer/programmer, as well as creative/design specialists) to put together an Artist App I'm going to be working on over the next several months...

I have no idea where to even begin searching for such talent, as Googling has turned up little more than a jungle full of crap that would require hours of sifting through to find anything decent.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

Does it have to be NYC based?

Just had a great experience with an Austin based firm.

Having thought more about whether the firm has to be NYC based... I've come to realize that they do not need to be.

I would hate to cut out many of the best app developers just because they are located nearby... In todays' day and age, this should hardly make a different. Sharing PDF's via email, video-chatting, screen-sharing and a host of other remote collaboration tools should adequately fill in the gap.

Care to share what firm you've used?

You could find an app you like and find who developed it. For instance, NPR's app was done by Bottle Rocket.

Are you still looking?
How serious are you?
Would you consider working with a reputable small firm in Scotland?
We can supply references.
