Something strange has happened to my up-to-date Mavericks installation. Some of the standard folder icons on only some folders have been replaced with some other random icon and I don't know how it happened or how to get the standard folder icons back. They can't be deleted in the get info window. Repairing permissions didn't help. This is only on some folders and new folders I create have the standard icon. Any ideas on what I could try to fix this?
Could be a cache issue. Make an icon change to a new folder, open /Preferences/, sort by modification date, move any likely Finder files to trash. Search for 'finder' in prefs and repeat. Reboot.
