i agree with Toffe. But I will have to say that the black ibook as really neat. ive been thinking about modding my 900mhz ibook G3. i think its time.

You mean he painted the outside? First time you scratch it it is going to show through white - you're supposed to strip the white paint off from the inside, and then paint the inside, because the case is essentially clear with the paint on the back/inside.

That only works on the earlier iBooks. The current ones late G3 and on are solid white plastic.

Yeah, sadly. Would have been nice had they kept the internally painted clear plastic.

Yes, i painted the outside, as the g4 ibooks are white plastic, not clear plastic with white paint.
And ive had it for 8 months, using it every day, and not one bit of paint has came off - it was painted by a car painter so its a few layers of black with a clear coat ontop, and hence the finish is as nice as a cars (and about as strong).
