A motorcycle? What kind? Pictures?

I'm thinking of getting one. I used to ride a dirtbike, but always wanted to ride a streetbike.

On a more serious note: I don't ride here in FL, too dangerous for me in most places.

I let the women do all the riding... in the passenger seat of my car. Although helmets help, I think the odds of becoming an organ donor are a little too high.

WTF is it with the derailing? If you don't ride, or don't plan on it, then just don't post...

Nice ride, I've read good things about the ABS breaks on that thing, as well as the power assist.
How do you like him?

It's great, just awesome. Thanks for asking.
And the energy consumption is phenomenal. I get eleventy billion miles per gallon.

I assume you were referring to the beamer and not the turtle (though i hear those are fun rides as well)...

Love the bike so far. The ABS is great, although takes a little time getting used to the brake feel from a non-ABS bike. It's just a really easy bike to live with, runs smoothly, has nice power and good extra features (the heated hand-grips are a sweet touch, up here in the northeast).

mine... I REALLY love the look of the stock exhaust you see in the first two shots, that super-long 2 into 1 really emphasizes the low long lines of the bike, but its just too damn quiet so I replaced it with a pair of Cobras. The third shot shows it without the passenger seat, which I MUCH prefer, unfortunately girls dont much enjoy riding the hardtail so I cant completely get rid of it.

I'm truly surprised how many random people stop me or otherwise make the effort to come by and tell me how nice it is/ask what it is, even ancient Harley guys and friends that build $30,000 choppers. Good bang for the buck from a 1998. Was lucky to find one that'd barely been ridden, only 3500 miles.

I ride, but if I posted a picture you would all laugh, I have a 1988 Honda VTR 250, yes a 250...

it's so damn light, but it becomes a total dog up in the mountains here... My mom also got a new bike which I have also ridden, she has a 05 Honda shadow 750, black with red flames!

yea, i looked for an old cafe racer first but couldnt find anything with decent miles in the immediate area. i was pretty hesitant to buy a single cylinder since i really prefer the extra displacement, but not finding anything that was 'just right' was the biggest reason.

I'd really like to buy/build a Triton in the near future.

You get more looks than the Harly Guys?... Thank Heaven for that, I give most Harly Guys looks cause they're mostly fat.

I know a few riders (Hogs)
Some guys I know call them Hardly Driveables... all in good fun.

very nice. i had a '78 bonnie 750 in black with gold scallops. dual disc, dual carb, five speeds. i kept it mostly stock except i added a hump seat and drop bars so it looked more cafe racer. sorry, no digital pic at this time; i sold it back in 1998. harley guys came up to me because a lot of them started on truimphs, BSAs, nortons, etc. dudes on plastic bikes just scoffed or gave a look of confusion.

Knuckle draggers, the lot of them.

I like that Beamer. Can't afford it. Probably going for the CBR, or maybe another ride similar. I'm interested in racing as well as street riding. Not much into off-road. Used to do some dirt riding, and have eaten my share.

I ride every day. My bike has a bell and a basket, and one gear. Its a sad life, but beats owning a car.

this is actually a lot closer to the actual Harley demographic than the leather and long-hairs that some people picture.
