ha! Me too, stuck at my crap job, this is my last day before a three-day mini-vacation. Or rather, a "we cut back your hours again" vacation. Not only are they cutting everyone's hours, but for the first time in history, no one is getting a christmas bonus this year. I personally wasn't expecting one, since I've only been working here since June, but alot of people were counting on it to get through the winter. One girl, who's been here for nine years, was in tears when she found out. There wasn't an announcement or anything, the news came on payday and everyone was up in arms. The owner's coming down on Monday, and unless it's to hand out bonus checks, he's probably going to get his ass kicked.
This comes on top of a salary freeze, when I came on in June I was told I would get a raise within two weeks to a month, then I found out from everyone else that there was a salary freeze in effect, and that no one would be getting a raise before the middle of '04. So basically, the gm lied to me when he hired me. They're putting 4mil into the hotel to upgrade and renovate, and not investing a cent in the people that make it work.
Just one of the many reasons why I don't care to work here anymore.
anywho, on fark they have a forum about everyone's crappy christmas bonuses, I spent about three hours reading it, it's great!
Fark: Crappy Bonuses
Cheer up, it could be worse!

"Not only was there no bonus (any bonus of any kind is against company policy), but the Christmas Party was announced and canceled in the same day.
Merry Fcuking Christmas."
That's awesome!

I guess my paid week off between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day is pretty good then. Thanks, guys. That really cheered me up!

What are you all talking about?
Bush's tax cut plan solved all the employment and economic problems. I'm sooo confused, Bush said giving all those tax brakes and incentives to corporations was going to be reinvested into the employees out of the goodness of managements heart.

hmmm..
My girlfriends name is Yeon. *sounds like Yawn
Anyways, why did I tell you that? I have no idea myself. I think I am just as bored as you are. Finished finals, and now have nothing to do. I beat Halo in two days while I was supposed to be studying.. it's a fun game. Pick it up if you can. That should help with the boredom.
