I thought some of you may find this interesting or useful. Yesterday I provisioned an iPhone for email via SMS with an http link to a mobileconfig file hung in dropbox. Yet another use for this great program.
I used apple's iPhone configuration utility to build a profile containing the email settings (server, smtp, user name, and password). The iPhone did not have email previously configured.
After that I exported the mobileconfig to dropbox and texted the link to the iPhone. The user then just had to click the link in SMS, choose install, and their email was ready.
Since a profile can be set up with all kinds of stuff, this seems like a neat and easy way to remotely or wirelessly configure iPhones without email already configured and for those without a web server to hang it on (especially if you don't want it crawled).
