So. As a last resort since my college library doesn't even know where I should look or how I should rephrase it. I'll ask all the bright folks @ macnn forums.

I'm looking for sources on news and media awareness.
yes people, there are persons who don't even know who the vice pres is. like hella.

but yeah. it's for this giant research paper but I cant get the library to help me since they have no clue as to what they are doing in the first place. (stupid budget cuts. Arnold can go to Hell.)

So thx in advance.
If you could lead me in the right direction as to where I can find stats on overall americans awareness.
ie. % listen to the news. % watch the news. % read the paper.etc etc.

I kind of know how to use google. but this time I am failing horribly.

thx in advance.

I'm not sure what college you go to in San Jose, but maybe you should head over the MLK Jr. library at SJSU. Have a talk with one of the university librarians who specializes in researching certain fields/majors. I would talk to the sociology or political science librarian, since your topic seems right up their alley.
