Odd Serial Question

I'm not sure if any of you PowerBook users are in the networking field. But I use my Dell laptop frequently to console in, via a serial port, to Cisco routers and switches. For normal day to day ops, I can IP in or use one of our terminal servers. But there are times I need to connect via the console port (serial).
Is there an adapter that can go USB to Serial that works well with the PowerBook and an accompaning terminal program? A few years ago I had a PB and a USB to Serial device. But it didn't work very well.
Besides seeing if Apple will release a new PB soon, this is the only thing stopping me from migrating off my Dell Laptop.
Thanks,
J.

Thanks! I'll look forward to hearing about your experience. My networking skills pay the bills at the moment so can't loose that functionality. Slowly migrating to what I want to do - creative work.

Keyspan are good. I remember that to connect a yesteryear's Palm Pilot with a serial connector, the only one working with Jaguar was the Keyspan... or if you could find the original Palm serial to usb connector.
