Something I'm thinking about down the road.
I only have one computer that I'm crunching with right now....a 600MHz iMac G3 (slot-load)
However, I've think thinking about picking up a old tray olding iMac for use as a dedicated cruncher. I'd want to swap out the CPU for more power. Question is...which upgrade would be better?
the 600MHz G3 (256k L2) Harmoni
or
the 466MHz G4 (1MB L2)

The G4 will always be faster than the G3, irregardless of the clock speed.
I have a G4 Cube 400Mhz and it beats the pants off my iMac Snow G3 500Mhz in crunching.

A mac mini.
G4, modern, and energy efficient, plus way more crunch credit per day.
