I have never seen this show before, just found out the other day it was done by Judd Apatow and has many of the actors from his movies. Is this show as great as the fans say it is? I might pick it up on DVD, but it's kinda pricey.

Before you plunk down that much money, not knowing if you like it, get a trial for NF or BB.

It's absolutely excellent; better than any of his movies IMO. Buy it -- you won't be disappointed.

Freaks and Geeks was a great show. Too bad it was cancelled after only one season.

It gets a huge thumbs up from me. It's possibly the most painfully accurate coming-of-age type highschool drama ever made and has some downright hilarious moments. It really is a travesty that it didn't last longer, though it's great just the way it is. If you're a fan of Apatow's recent movies, you'll love seeing a young Seth Rogen at his sarcastic, stoner best.

If you can afford it, the DVD set is pretty decent, too. It comes with a nice booklet with Apatow's description of the goings on and thoughts behind each episode. It's not an epic deluxe package or anything, but it's a nice addition to collection if you're into that sort of thing.

Excellent show. We rented all the episodes on Netflix. Use their free trial or subscribe for a single month. Way cheaper than buying it. I liked the show.

Really funny show. A friend of mine recommended it to me and I've been watching it ever since.

Ditto. It was great in all ways. Whether you rent or buy, you're sure to like it.

Have to agree as well, I never saw this show when it was on but a friend bought the set and lent it to me. It was revoltingly accurate and painfully funny.
