I hope this isn't considered spam. But, I'm working on my Master's Thesis on brand revival and I am in the research phase. I put together a 10 minute survey that I'd like some activity on. It's just 10 questions on brands. If you could help me out, it would be great. Thanks!

My survey

If this is considered spam- please delete. Sorry.

I tried to help you out, but the survey is acting up in my browser.

I don't mean to criticize, Keri, but I feel slighted by the last option. There are several brands I remember very well but am indifferent to.

But, I want to know the ones you are NOT indifferent to, if there are any.

EDIT: I see what you mean by the wording.

So for the purposes of your poll, there is no difference "I remember the brand, but not very well." and "I remember the brand very well, but didn't care for it" ?

I'll try it again to see if it's working.

I’m a little confused—what am I supposed to answer to brands that are still part of everyday life? Can’t very well vote “I want that brand back”, since it never went anywhere …

Such as...? Some brands are available to certain areas. Which one are you thinking of? I appreciate the help.

There should be something between "remember but not well" and "remember and I want it back." There are some I remember well but don't want back.

Have you checked the expiration dates on the products you're finding in stores? Maybe Denmark is just getting 10 year-old shipments from the US.

Like Fanta, Esprit, or Bennetton. Fanta is the second-most common soda here, after Coke, and both Esprit and Bennetton have their own stores (Esprit even has two in this city alone).

I hadn’t the faintest idea these brands were not normally available in the States?!?

Yes, I'm sure this survey is skewed to the U.S. I should have mentioned that. If my target audience was global this would be a bit different. Honestly some of the other brands are still around here too, but on the verge of a revival. So, it's sort of a test of recognition.

How long has Fanta been gone? I could swear I've been annoyed by their commercials in the last year.

Done, and I'm dating myself. I knew most of the brands, yummy mummy, man I forgot about that cereal. My favorite was quisp though

btw, if you feel like paying through the nose, you can actually buy a box of quisp here http://www.quisp.com/

They have limited runs, which explains the high price but it means they're available to the fanatics that like it.

Fanta is available in limited areas as are many of these brands. Also, some items are available through online stores and specialty stores.

I sort of noticed by the fact that I had to answer “Not a clue” to, I think, every single brand except the three I mentioned above.

consider me surveyed.

I think I recognized about half of the brands. I watch a lot of foodtv so that might explain why a lot of the names sound familiar even though I have never had them.

Shasta seems to still be around, too. They seem to have an active web site anyway.

Tinker Toys seem to be alive and well, too.

I think you should probably do a little more research before designing these surveys.

I am aware that many of these brands are still available - as it states on the first page of the survey. That is not the point of the research. Thank you.

Did the survey for you, but I agree the "I want it back" and "I don't care if it's gone" choices don't make a lot of sense for the brands that are still around.
