The first computer I tried it on has no sound card (a PC, at work), so I figured, no biggie. But when I tried it from my Mac at home... no sound! Any ideas why this might be? Beige G3/233, Netscape 4.73 (I think), with speakers which were live and working, I tested them.

slboett, calm down..sheesh...
I think I know the problem, you have QuickTime playing your Flash files. You have to get Flash to play the file. You could do that from the Applications in the Preferences. SWF file format must NOT be handled by QuickTime, it must be handled by Sockwave Flash.

Dunno where you found that one Scott, but it's good.... BTW, I usually run with Java turned off. All you get is "hold on" for a minute or so. Works fine once Java is on.

I tried increasing the memory, I tried upgrading to Netscape 4.75: no joy. Is there a later version of Flash than the one which comes with 4.75?

There probably is a newer version of Flash than the one that comes with the latest Netscape.
BUT I tried running the .SWF file in QuickTime and it plays fine but without the sound. However, when I played it through FLASH I got the sound too. So it seems like your Quicktime is set to run FLASH files, remove that feature from the Preferences-Applications of Netscape. Also make sure that Shockwave-Flash is set to play the SWF files.

Got it. Okay, I installed 4.75, but I neglected to put it in the location I was launching Netscape from. When I did that, and removed the 3rd version which snuck on when I did the 8.6 -> 9.0.4 upgrade, the Cube animation worked.
Nice! I really liked the rap part.
