So I'm going to get an LCD soon, but which one? I'm currently looking for contenders to Apple's 20" LCD. I really like it, but the price makes me cringe a bit, so are there any other good deals out there for a nice looking LCD display with same or better features than Apple's, for a smaller price?

Thanks for any help.

Bingo... I'm strongly considering getting this one, since I'm cheap and really would like a 1600+ pixel LCD... Wide preferred. Therefore, this sounds like it.

I have a 2005FPW (crossgraded from a 2001FP), and I'd give it mixed reviews. It's cheap as heck, for sure. The backlight is pretty uneven -- definitely not as good as the Apple displays I've seen in the stores. But I only really notice that when the screen is almost completely black, e.g. the start of a DVD.

For everyday office use it's a dream.

I thought there were still blacklight leakage issues with the Dell model?

Thanks for that, but I'm looking for something maybe a bit more expensive, $600 just makes me think it's cheap. Maybe a nice monitor in the $700-$900 range that is at least as good as the 20" apple display or better.
