Remember when they came out with that PS1 emulator for Mac? Everyone thought people would be buying Mac's in droves because you get a free highly popular playstation with it.
In reality nobody cared.

I still haven't seen anyone point out what such a union would bring.

News is going around today from Think Secret that Apple is redesigning the Mac Mini as a DVR (codenamed Kaleidoscope). Intel based and due out January. iPod dock and DVR functionality.
This might be Apple's covert way at striking at the consoles. Steve Jobs has reportedly been very interested in the XBox 360. I doubt it's a strike at gaming consoles really (more the media center functionality on the XB360), but might we see the Mac games market get a boost due to Mac Mini console gaming? I could see people releasing Bluetooth controllers for such a mini. Maybe Steve is turning the Mini into what the Pippin should have been?

Huh? I never said I thought that. Apple will usually try and partner with Sony over anybody. Of course Apple has been stealing some of Sony's engineers. Maybe they picked up a few Playstation engineers for the Mini.

This thread is based on a Apple Nintendo partner ship which is what I was talking about.

Retarded games for kids and a system that has no power in comparison to other current systems with a very small library.

I bought it. It was great. I played gran turismo and metal gear on my original 333mhz imac all the time. It was fantastic!

Well I was posting on the new media center Mini rumored for January and how Steve might be trying to counter the XBox 360.
I know going from Nintendo and Apple working together to Apple making a console-ish system is a stretch but try and work with me here...

It would be awful. Nintendo would start dragging apple down with it.
