A load of trailers got released at San Diego CC. These are the ones that caught my eye. Some deserve their own threads - we can move them as needed in the future.

Marvel has been busy with three releases.

Thor: Ragnarok (theaters Nov 23, 2017)

Looks like fun.
----------------

Marvel's The Defenders (netflix series: Aug 18, 2017)

Sigourney Weaver tries to take over New York. Maybe she can straighten out the NYPD, but public service doesn't appear to be her priority.
----------------

The Gifted (fox series: Oct 2, 2017)

This is part of the X-men universe. The story follows mutant kids who do not have resources like money or mansions. The FX budget looks acceptable. Gotta stay out of the government labs.
----------------

DC wants to be noticed too.

Justice League (theaters Nov 17, 2017)

They're going back to dark cinematography, though it looks very good. Still, think how much better it would look in daylight.
----------------

Stranger Things season 2 (netflix series: Oct 27, 2017)

If you haven't seen Season 1 yet, go watch that first. Right after getting your head examined. Then watch this trailer.
----------------

Bright (netflix film: Dec 22, 2017)

Will Smith trying to get along in the LAPD. But -- in this universe, fairy-tale creatures are real. Lots of race tensions. Especially when he draws an Orc as a partner. Let's not be prejudiced - there appear to be bug zappers to handle the flying fairies.
----------------

What Happened to Monday (aka Seven Sisters) (netflix film: Aug 18, 2017)

An SF thriller set in the near future, when overpopulation has forced a global one-child-per-family law. I couldn't locate a trailer without the subs, sorry.
----------------

Ready Player One (theaters Mar 30, 2018)

Steven Spielberg has been busy. I hadn't heard of the book, but reviewers say it looks faithful to the source material.
----------------

These next two weren't released an ComicCon, but deserve honorable mention. They were released within the last week.

Pacific Rim: Uprising (theaters Mar 23, 2018)

This is only a teaser. But you get to see some of the new Jaegers. Set ten years after Pacific Rim 1.
----------------

A Wrinkle In Time (theaters Mar 9, 2018)

This is based on a book by Madeleine L'Engle, which I remember only vague bits of from years ago. Looks interesting, but it's being produced by Disney. So everything but the colors may get toned down.

Thor looks good. A touch of lightheartedness.

The rest... meh
