My guess is not as such. The Pentagon doesn’t want a new branch.

The Air Force will keep doing what its doing, and I assume the militarization of space is something they’ve been interested in since before Sputnik.

I wasn't paying close attention but I heard Mattie on the radio and thought they somehow managed to move forward

I missed that, but guy knows how to slow-walk.

Trump can’t even get a parade out of him.

Color me surprised. I see Pence dropped the kinetic kill a few hours ago.

Hot take: $8 billion is enough to cover the bureaucratic nightmare we just unleashed, and nothing else.

I imagine it’s both worth it and very expensive. If we looked into what the Air Force spends on space, I think we’d have some large numbers.

I’d prefer this remained the job of the Air Force for two reasons.

1) We should walk softly and carry a big tungsten rod. The Air Force has less threatening optics.

2) Now the Air Force is going to waste a bunch of time and energy with another pissing match.

They’ll have to break a treaty, though. I doubt this administration will have any issue with doing so, of course.

That's what makes this so idiotic.

It was a bad treaty. We'll get a nice new treaty a great one. You won't even believe it.

Apparently, if you’re a Trump campaign donor, you get to vote on the logo for the space force.

The summary says “no WMDs, hands-off the moon”.

That’s a lot of wiggle.
