Yeah right.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.

Good intentions as I've always wanted to see Half-Life come to the Mac. However with Apple's transition to Intel X86, I think it will give the devs less incentive to do a PowerPC port when instead the x86 Half-Life Windows code can in theory, be easily modified to run on an Intel Mac rather then an entire port.

Half Life petitions for mac are about as old and pointless as Wilford Brimley's "man parts".

Dude, NEVER gonna happen. NEVER. Not even when Apple switches to Intel will they lift a pinky to get Half-Life 2 on the Mac. Gabe Newell hates Apple.

It wouldn't matter if you had two identical machines, as long as you're not running Microsoft Windows with DirectX and DirectPlay, you're not gonna see squat. As long as Microsoft keeps popping out DirectX and touting how much better and easier it is than OpenGL, and how DirectPlay is so much better than any other networking stack, the Macintosh will never see those games.

Well, maybe not never, but they'll be about as successful as EverQuest Mac Edition.

Half-Life 2 uses DirectX.
A simple port is not enough. It needs to be rewritten completely to run on OS X.
